As a fractional Chief Design Officer (Strategy / Innovation), I bring design thinking to management consulting. I have 22+ years of experience in leading and delivering innovations across Financial Services, Retail, Luxury and Technology sectors. I'm called upon to design customer experiences, as well as to develop a coherent brand strategy and launch products, improve digital and human processes, manage change and lead controlled disruptions across the whole value chain.


INDIA POST PAYMENTS BANK

I was a part of the Deloitte India team and served in different capacities across 2.5 years from inception to launch of IPPB.

1. Led a pan India qualitative research to understand how rural Indians thought of money, savings and their relationships with banks

2. Created a series of 20 scenarios to help all stakeholders from the Prime Minister's office to the local post man envision the impact of the bank on financial inclusion

3. Prototyped user experience for assisted banking applications and developed the brand identity for Cx

4. Developed value propositions and training content for the value chain

5. Orchestrated the national launch of the bank as a fractional CMO

We led India's largest financial inclusion initiative - transformed 155000 post offices into banks and 300000 postmen into bankers.

LOREAL

Loreal extended its Black Naturals Hair Colour range with a few new shades of blacks and browns with highlights. The original ask for was for customer testing but the R&D team agreed to co-create new colour variants with actual users. To this effect:

1. We recruited 20 hair colour users from across socio-economic segments in Mumbai

2. The users were split into groups and over a few days, they developed hair colour concept cards based on the Loreal template - using design thinking approaches

3. The Loreal R&D team concepts were eventually pitched against user generated concepts and the user generated concepts received a much more positive response

4. Loreal went back to the drawing board, integrating these findings and has developed completely new hair colour variants based on user needs and expectations - these are being received very favorably in the test phases.
